All code except the files in ramp/src/jan_source
src/patrice_source, src/other_source is copiable,
distributable, modifiable, and usable without any restrictions and
without further permission from me (appropriate credit would be
appreciated). Thanks to Patrice Koehl (
koehl@zen.stanford.edu), Jan Pedersen (
jan@acadia-pharm.com),
and Gerson Cohen (
Gerson.Cohen@nih.gov), I've been able to include some
code written by them in this distribution. Patrice and Jan have
consented to their code being distributed as part of the RAMP suite,
but they are legally the copyright holders; Gerson has placed his
program in the public domain. If you use programs that involves code
written by them independently of the RAMP distribution, or in any
exploitive way, you should contact them for explicit permission. If
that doesn't work out for some reason, you just have to re-write those
parts.
There are no warranties or guarantees or promises of any kind that the programs in this suite will work as you expect it to or even compile. In other words, if you manage to somehow trigger a nuclear war through the use of this code, it's your responsibility. So use the programs wisely.
